Section 53: Motion of no confidence against Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson

(1) A motion expressing no confidence in the Chairperson or the Vice-Chairperson shall be made and considered in the prescribed manner.

(2) No notice of motion under section shall be made within two years of the assumption of office by a Chairperson; or in case of Chairperson or Vice-CHairperson elected in a bye-election, unless half of a period of tenure has expired.

(3) If a motion under sub-section (1) is not carried, no notice of a subsequent motion expressing no confidence in the same Chairperson or Vice-Chairperson shall be made until after the expiration of two years after the meeting in which the said motion was considered.]
