(1) A Municipality shall be divided into wards by the State Government in accordance with the provisions of the Act.
(2) An Officer authorised by the State Government, hereinafter referred to in this Chapter as the 'Officer' shall publish the draft of the wards showing the area of wards, their numbering and wards reserved for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes under sub-section (1) and (2} of Section 14 of the Act and on receipt of objections together with his comments thereon and any other material shall forward them to the State Government for approval.
(3) On approval by the State Government, the officer shall determine the wards reserved for Women and Backward Classes as provided in these rules.
(4) On completion of the above process the draft order shall become final and the officer shall notify the list of wards and a copy of thereof shall be displayed on the Notice Board of the Municipality, Collector and the District Municipal Election Officer.]
