Section 52: Postponement of poll in emergencies

The Rajasthan Municipalities (Election) Rules, 1994State Rules of Rajasthan · 2009

The State Election Commission may, for sufficient cause to be recorded in writing, postpone the date or extend the period fixed for polling in case of emergencies such as disturbance of the public peace, natural calamity etc. Where a poll is so postponed, the State Election Commission shall endeavour to conduct the poll as soon as practicable.
