Section 85: Procedure after publication of list of contesting candidates

The Rajasthan Municipalities (Election) Rules, 1994State Rules of Rajasthan · 2009

(1) If there is only one candidate, there shall be no poll and the candidate so nominated shall be declared to have been duly elected as the Chairman in the form prescribed in Schedule-V.

(2) If there are two or more of such candidates, an election shall be held by secret ballot and votes of the members present at the meeting shall be taken.

(3) If there is no validly nominated candidate, all proceedings in relation to election shall be commenced afresh.
