The working hours of the offices of the Municipalities shall be such as may be prescribed by Government for Government offices in the Municipal Area.
4. Notwithstanding anything contained in any of the provisions of the above Rules the State Government shall have power to relax or modify the rules for a particular Board or in general, as the case may be.

Sub.- Observance of Holidays.
Attention is invited to the Rajasthan municipalities (Observance of Holidays and Regulating Hours of Work) rules, 1961 issued under this Department Notification No. F. 8(176) LSG/61 dated 9- 2-1962 laying down that the offices and institutions under the control of the Municipalities shall observe only such public and local holidays as are observed or are duly declared by the Government from time to time in respect of Government offices.
The Governor has been pleased to order (Vide Government of Rajasthan General Administration Department 'A' Order No. F. 1(18)/GA/Gr. 11/62 dated 11-12-1962) that with immediate effect all offices and courts (except those under the Rajasthan Court) throughout Rajasthan, shall observe office hours from 10 A.M. to 5.30 P. M. with half an hour break for lunch between 1.30 P. M. to 2.00 P. M.
and second Saturday of each month will be observed a full holiday till further orders.
It has come to the notice of the Government that some of the Municipalities are not following the aforesaid instructions.
It is requested that action may be taken in compliance with Government decision with immediate effect.
