Section 22: Committee for selection of Independent Members

The Rajasthan Police Act 2007State Act of Rajasthan · Act 14 of 2007

Independent Members shall be appointed by the State Government on the recommendation of a panel consisting of the Chief Minister as its Chairman and the following as its members:-

(a) Leader of the Opposition in the State Legislative Assembly or if there is no Leader of the Opposition, the leader of the largest opposition party (single or group of parties recognized by the speaker) in the State Legislative Assembly;

(b) Minister-in-charge of the Home Department;

(c) Chairman of the Rajasthan State Human Rights Commission.
