Section 68: Tenure of independent members of the Committees.

(1) The tenure of an independent members of the State Committees or the District Committee shall be two years and no independent member shall be nominated for the second term in the same committee.

(2) The State Government may remove an independent member of the State Committee or the District Committee, if he incurs any disqualification specified in Section 69, or if he fails to perform duties enjoined upon him as an independent member.
