If a prisoner does not surrender himself on the expiry of the parole period or at such earlier time as may be directed by the State Government or any authority empowered by it in this behalf without sufficient reasons therefore, prisoner may be arrested by any police officer without a warrant and shall be remanded to undergo the unexpired portion of his sentence.
