Section 199: Appearance during Test Identification Parade

(1) Under- trial prisoners shall not be allowed to cut or shave their hair on their heads or faces or in any way to alter their personal appearance, so as to make it difficult to recognize them.

(2) They shall not, however, be prevented from changing their clothes:

Provided that their appearance is not materially altered when they are presented for identification in the prison or when sent to court for trial.
