Section 281: Death leaving behind child

The Rajasthan Prisons Rules, 2022State Rules of Rajasthan · 1894

(1) When a female prisoner dies and leaves behind a child, the Superintendent shall inform the District Magistrate concerned and he shall arrange for the proper care of the child.

(2) If the relatives of prisoner are unwilling to support the child, the District Magistrate shall either place the child in an approved institution or home run by the Government or hand the child over to a responsible person for care and maintenance.
