Section 418: Commutation of Sentence

The Rajasthan Prisons Rules, 2022State Rules of Rajasthan · 1894

If a sentence of death is commuted to one of imprisonment for life, or imprisonment for a term, the sentence of imprisonment for life or imprisonment for a term shall be deemed to commence from the date on which the sentence of death was passed adhering to rule 428 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (Central Act No. 2 of 1974).
