Section 696: Guidance

The Rajasthan Prisons Rules, 2022State Rules of Rajasthan · 1894

(1) Pamphlets containing the rights, duties, entitlement, discipline and daily routine of a prisoner shall be printed and distributed so that a prisoner may follow the 'dos' and 'don'ts' and maintain discipline during his or her confinement.

(2) The above literature shall also be kept in the prison library and issue to prisoners who can read.

(3) Illiterate prisoners shall be made to understand the contents of the literature by the prison staff themselves or with the help of other literate prisoners engaged for educational programmes.
