Section 15: Budget for Public Libraries

The Rajasthan Publlc Libraries Act, 2006State Act of Rajasthan · Act 11 of 2006

(1) The Director shall prepare , every year, the annual budget proposal for the Directorate of Public Libraries for plan and non-plan expenditure and submit it to the State Government .

(2) The Director shall utilise the grant so sanctioned to defray the expenditure for the following purposes , namely:-

(a) to carry out the purposes of this Act and rules;

(b) to establish new public libraries in the State ;

(c) to maintain and develop the public libraries in the State ;

(d) for the payment of grant-in-aid and other financial assistance to the public libraries.
