- (1) The State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, make rules for the purpose of carrying into effect the provisions of this Act. (2) In particular and without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing power, rules made under sub-section (1) may provide in respect of the health, safety and welfare of employees. (3) In making rules under this Section, the State Government may provide that a contravention of the rules shall be punishable with fine, which may extend to fifty rupees. (4) The power to make rules conferred by this Section is subject to the condition of the rules being made after previous publication.
