Notwithstanding anything contained in these Rules, the appointing authority may appoint a person on adhoc basis for a period not exceeding one year or till a candidate selected by direct recruitment or promotion is available, whichever is earlier, subject to the condition that the N person so appointed fulfils all the qualifications academically or otherwise as prescribed under these rules.
