Section 23: Scrutiny of Applications

*23 Scrutiny of Applications.- The Commission shall scrutinize the applications received by it. The applications which are found to be incomplete and have not been filled up in accordance with the instructions issued by the commission shall be rejected at initial stage. The commission shall permit provisionally the rest of candidate to appear in the examination. No candidate shall be admitted to the examination unless he/she holds a certificate of permission to the examination granted by the Commission. Before appearing in the examination, the candidate should ensure his/her eligibility in respect of age and educational qualifications and experience etc. as provided in these rules. Being allowed to take examination shall not entitle the candidate to presumption of eligibility. The Commission shall scrutinize later on the applications of such candidates only as it found suitable for appointment before preparing the list under rule 24: Provided that the decision of the Commission regarding the eligibility or otherwise of a candidate shall be final. * Substituted for "23 Scrutiny of Applications.- The Commission shall scrutinize the applications received by them and require as many candidates qualified for appointment under these rules as seem to them desirable to appear before them for interview: Provided that the decision of the Commission regarding the eligibility or otherwise of a candidate shall be final." vide Notification No. F. 1(2)DOP/A-II/10 dated 07.02.2017.
