(1) The Registrar shall be the whole time officer of the University. (2) The Registrar shall be the Chief Administrative Officer of the University. He shall work directly under the superintendence, direction and control of the Vice-Chancellor. (3) Notwithstanding anything contained in this Act or any other law for the time being in force, the Registrar shall be appointed by the State Government on deputation from amongst the officers in the services of the State of Rajasthan. (4) The Registrar shall be responsible for the custody of the records and the common seal of the University. He shall be ex-officio Secretary of the Board and Academic Council. He shall place before it all such information as may be necessary for the transaction of its business. He shall receive applications for entrance to the University and shall keep a permanent record of all syllabi, curricula and such other information as may be deemed necessary. (5) The Registrar shall perform such other duties as may be prescribed by Statutes or Ordinances or required of him from time to time by the Vice-Chancellor.
