Section 6: Educational and other qualifications for appointment as Member Secretary

No person shall be eligible for being appointed as a Member Secretary of the Board under clause (f) of sub-section (2) of section 4 of the Act, unless he,-

(a) is a member of All India Services in the service of Central or any State Government and holding a post on regular basis in the parent cadre or the department in the pay scale level 13A or higher of the Central Government or its equivalent in State Government, and

(b) Possessing a post graduate degree in science or a degree in Engineering from a recognized university or its equivalent with knowledge and experience related to environment.
