(1) The appointment of teachers and officers of the University shall, save as provided in this Act, be made in accordance with the provisions of the Rajasthan Universities Teachers and Officers (Selection for Appointment) Act, 1974 (Act No. 18 of 1947). (2) Except in cases provided for by the Statues, teachers and officers of the University shall be appointed under a written contract. The contract shall be furnished to the teacher or officer concerned. The contract shall not be inconsistent with the provisions of this Act and the Statutes for the time being in force in relation to the conditions of service.
