Subject to the provisions of this Act and the Statutes, the Ordinances may provide for all or any of the following matters, namely:-
(a) the conduct of examinations including the appointments of examiners and their terms and conditions;
(b) the admission of the students to the University and their enrolment and continuance as such and the conditions and procedures for dropping students from enrolment;
(c) the fees which may be charged by the University;
(d) the courses of study to be laid down for all degrees, diplomas and other distinctions;
(e) the conditions under which students shall be admitted to the degrees, diplomas or other courses and examinations of the University and their eligibility for the award of degrees and diploma;

(f) the conditions for conferment of degrees, diplomas and other academic distinctions;
(g) the maintenance of discipline among the students of the University;
(h) the special arrangements, if any, which may be made for residence, discipline and teaching of women students;
(i) the conditions of residence of students of the University and the levy of fees for residence in hostels;
(j) the recognition and management of hostels not maintained by the University; and
(k) any other matter required by this Act or the Statutes to be dealt by or under the Ordinances of the University.
