PART II—Section 3—Sub-section (ii) izkf/dkj ls izdkf'kr PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY la- 2158] ubZ fnYyh] c`gLifrokj] vxLr 3] 2017@Jko.k 12] 1939 No. 2158] NEW DELHI, THURSDAY, AUGUST 3, 2017/SRAVANA 12, 1939 जलसंसाधन, नदी िवकास और गंगा सरंक्षण मंᮢ ालय अिधसूचना नई िदल्ली, 2 अगस् त, 2017 का.आ. 2458(अ).—केन्ᮤीय सरकार ने अन्तररािज्यक नदी जल िववाद अिधिनयम, 1956 (1956 का 33) की धारा 14 की उपधारा (1) और उपधारा (2) ᳇ारा ᮧदᱫ शिᲦयᲂ का ᮧयोग करते हुए, भारत सरकार के तत्कालीन जल संसाधन मंᮢालय की अिधसूचना संख्यांक का.आ. 169 (अ) तारीख 2 अᮧैल, 1986 ᳇ारा, उसमᱶ िन᳸दर᳥् पंजाब समझौते के कितपय िवषयᲂ के सत्यापन और न्याय िनणर्यन के िलए, रावी और ᳞ास जल अिधकरण का गठन िकया था, और, उᲦ अिधकरण ने अपनी िरपोटर् तारीख 30 जनवरी, 1987 को केन्ᮤीय सरकार को अᮕेिषत थी;
और, केन्ᮤीय सरकार ने उᲦ अिधिनयम की धारा 5 की उपधारा (3) के िनबंधनानुसार उᲦ अिधकरण को, पूवᲃᲦ िरपोटर् पर अपेिक्षत स्प᳥ीकरण और मागर्दशर्न के िलए तारीख 19 अगस्त, 1987 को अितिरᲦ िनदᱷश िकये थे;
और केन्ᮤीय सरकार ने उᲦ अिधकरण ᳇ारा आगे की िरपोटर् को पूरा करने मᱶ िकये जाने वाले वृहत कायर् को ध्यान मᱶ रखते हुए, उᲦ िरपोटर् दनेे की अविध को समय-समय पर तारीख 5 अगस्त, 2017 तक बढाया था;
और केन्ᮤीय सरकार, उᲦ अिधकरण ᳇ारा उल्लेख िकये गए अन्तवर्िलत कायर् की अत्यावश्यᲦाᲐ को ध्यान मᱶ रखते हुए, उᲦ अविध को तारीख 5 अगस्त, 2017 के प᳟ात् एक वषर् के िलए बढाया जाना आवश्यक समझती ह।ै अतः अब, केन्ᮤीय सरकार, अन्तररािज्यक नदी जल िववाद अिधिनयम, 1956 (1956 का 33) की धारा 5 की उपधारा (3) के परंतुक ᳇ारा ᮧदᱫ शिᲦयᲂ का ᮧयोग करते हुए, उस अविध को, िजसके भीतर उᲦ अिधकरण इस ᮧकार िकये गए िनदᱷशᲂ पर अपनी िरपोटर् केन्ᮤीय सरकार को भेज सकेगा, 5 अगस्त, 2018 तक आगे बढाती ह ैऔर उस ᮧयोजन के िलए भारत सरकार के तत्कालीन जल संसाधन मंᮢालय की अिधसूचना संख्यांक का.आ. 905(अ), तारीख 5 अगस्त, 2003 मᱶ िन᳜िलिखत और संशोधन करती ह,ै अथार्त् :— उᲦ अिधसूचना के अंितम पैरा मᱶ शब्दᲂ, अंकᲂ और अक्षरᲂ “5 अगस्त, 2017 तक” के स्थान पर “5 अगस्त, 2018 तक” शब्दᲂ, अंकᲂ और अक्षरᲂ को रखा जाएगा। [फा. सं. 20/1/2016-बी.एम.]

1736(अ), तारीख 3 अगस्त, 2012 और का.आ. 317(अ) तारीख 5 फरवरी, 2013 और का.आ. 2310(अ) तारीख 29 जुलाई, 2013 का.आ. 2002(अ), तारीख 6 अगस्त 2014, का.आ. 2176(अ), तारीख 10 अगस्त, 2015, का.आ. 2571(अ), तारीख 29 जुलाई, 2016 ᳇ारा बढाई गई। MINISTRY OF WATER RESOURCES, RIVER DEVELOPMENT AND GANGA REJUVENATION NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 2nd August, 2017 S.O. 2458(E).—Whereas the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (1) and(2) of section 14 of the Inter-State River Water Disputes Act, 1956 (33 of 1956), constituted the Ravi and Beas Waters Tribunal for verification and adjudication of certain matters of the Punjab Settlement, referred therein, vide notification of the Government of India in the erstwhile Ministry of Water Resources, vide number S.O. 169(E), dated the 2nd April, 1986, and the said Tribunal forwarded its report to the Central Government on the 30th January, 1987;
And whereas, further references have been made by the Central Government to the said Tribunal on the 19th August, 1987, requiring explanation and guidance on the report aforesaid, in terms of sub-section (3) of section 5 of the said Act;
And whereas, considering the enormous exercise undertaken by the said Tribunal in completing its further report, the Central Government extended from time to time the period of making the said report, till the 5th day of August, 2017;
And whereas, the Central Government, keeping in view the exigencies of the work involved, as pointed out by the said Tribunal, considers it necessary to extend the said period for one year after the 5th day of August, 2017.
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to sub-section (3) of section 5 of the Inter- State River Water Disputes Act, 1956 (33 of 1956), the Central Government hereby further extends the period, within which the said Tribunal may forward its report on the references so made, to the Central Government till the 5th day of August, 2018, and for that purpose, makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the erstwhile Ministry of Water Resources, number S.O. 905(E), dated the 5th August, 2003, namely:- In the said notification, in the last paragraph, for the words, figures and letters “till the 5th day of August, 2017”, the words, figures and letters “till the 5th day of August, 2018” shall be substituted.
