7. Procedure for Temporary Appointment : Temporary appolaiment(s) and appolntment(s) for a fixed pertod shall be made by the concemed authority 5o the manner prescribed below : «
(a) If the temporary vacancy is for a duration longer than one year, it shall be filled on tho recommendatlon of the Selection Commitles in accordance with the procedure indicated in the forgoing clauses of this Ordinance.
Provided that if the Vice-Chancellor is satisfied that dn the intercats of work it is necsssery to fill a vacancy immedintoly, the uppointment(s) may be made on adhoc busls for a period not exceeding five montbs in zespect of Group 'C' and ‘D' posts only on the recommendation of a local Selection Commiittee consisting of Director/Dean, Registrar or his nominec and one nomince of (he Vice- Chancglior. No extension in service beyond five months shall be granted to the employes(s) appoint- ¢d by thls procedure.
(b) No employee appointed purely on temporary basis shall be continued In service beyond five months period unless he is recommonded for appointment on the said post or any position by the appropriale Sclection Commitiee,
8. Bmoluments of the employces and terms and couditions of service : Employees of the Contral Agricultural Uhiversity will be entitlod to the puy scales and other allowances preacribed by the University from time to time and they will be governed by the Service Rules of the University.
9. Age of Retirement Every non-teaching and supporting employee of tho University shell retire on tho lut duy of tho month in which he/aho shall bo attalning the age of 58 (fifty-cight) yoars.
10. Probation All newly appointed /promoted pereonnel Initially shall be on probation for a perlod of two yoars. If fho porfor mance of any probationer le not found satistactory tho appoint. ing au'horily by specific order may exten. the perlod of probition or his/her sorvice may be dispensed with or he/sho may be roverted to his/hor provious position.
11. Age limits for Direct Recruitment The minimum age limit for appolntiknt to any position in the University shall be 18 (cighteen) years und the muximum age limit 35 (thirty five) yoars. The maximum age Jimlt shall, however, be relaxable for SC/ST candidates ns per the Central Government rules and for those altendy in Government /Semi-Govermment/ICAR /University Service.
12. Every duly appointed rogular employee of the Manipur Agrlcultural College, mphal who has been in employment In the Colloge boforo the date of take over of the College by the Contral Agriculural Universlty (22-11-93) and has become the employes of the Universlty from the stid date shall hold office with sexvice protection under the University with such rights and privileges as contributry provident fund, pratulty, leave, medical bonefils otc. ay admissible to him/ ber immediately beforo the take over of the said college by the Central Agricullural University. The employeo shall also conlinue to be in the sorvice of lhe Central Agricultural University with their old designations with grades/pay scales ¢njoyed by them immediately before lhe take over of the colfege. 1f their grades of pay immediately before tho take over of the college are different from tho one(s) provided under this Ordinance, ‘hey shall contoinue to work in thoir reapeotive grades na “Porsonal Grades” till they, on the busis of direct recruitment/promotion, happen to occupy u different position. 1In the lafter case, the designation privilegea and terms and conditions of service shall bo same as presctibed for the employces of the Central Agricultural University.
13. In all matters, not provided in the ordinunce, till the framing of the detalled sorvice conditions for the employee of the Central Agricultural University, the conditions of the service of the employees of the University shall temperorily bo governed by the rules applicable fo the employees of the ICAR working in the North-Eastern Reglon. After enforcement of the new service rules of tho Central Agricultural University, the servico conditions of the employees of tho Central Agricultural Univeraity shall be governed by the new rules automatically. 14, The provision(s) of this Ordinance shall como into effect from the date of its publication in the official Guzelto.
