The convening authority may make such amendments in the circumstantial letters as may appear to be necessary on the basis of the charges framed and the summary of evidence. In such a case, a notation ‘As amended by the convening authority’ shall be made on top of the first page of the circumstantial letter as well as all amendments shall be authenticated by the convening authority with his signature. The circumstantial letter as finally approved shall be signed by the convening authority to indicate his approval.
