Section 226: Discharge from prison or detention

Regulations for the Navy Part IICentral Regulations · 1957

(1) If a prisoner or a person under detention should be discharged under the provisions of section 154 such discharge shall have the effect of remitting any portion of his sentence that may be unexpired at the date of such discharge, except in the case of his delivery to Naval custody for the purpose specified in the latter part of the said section.

NOTE: - The power under this regulation shall be exercised with great discretion and shall not be exercised except where the service of offenders are required in emergency.
