Captains and other officers of the Executive Branch, borne on the books of any of Indian Naval Ships as “Additional, for special or particular service”, shall never assume the charge and command, of the ships in which they are so borne, or any other charge or command, except that which may appertain to the special or particular service for which they are borne, unless they receive from the Chief of the Naval Staff express authority to the contrary.
