Section 302: Scale of awards per annum

Regulations for the Navy Part IIICentral Regulations · 1957

The Chief of the Naval Staff may sanction the grant of Long Service and Good Conduct Medal with or without gratuity to sailors of the Indian Navy. The number of medals to be awarded annually shall not exceed the maximum determined at the scale given below calculated to the nearest whole number: -

(a) Long Service and Good Conduct Medal with Gratuity. – 2 for every 800 men of the sanctioned strength as on 31st December of the year for which the medals are to be awarded.

(b) Long Service and Good Conduct Medal without Gratuity. – One for every 800 men of the sanctioned strength as on 31st December of the year for which the medals are to be awarded.
