Section 339: Applications

Regulations for the Navy Part IIICentral Regulations · 1957

(1) All applications for commissions or appointments in the Indian Naval Reserve and Indian Naval Volunteer Reserve shall be made to the Registrar of Reserves together with a letter from the employer of the applicant, if any, permitting him to join the Reserve and fulfil all his obligations as a member thereof.

(2) Eligible candidates shall be required to appear before a Board of Selection and to undergo a medical examination; proved that Cadets about To pass out from the Training Ship “Dufferin” or any other recognized Merchant Navy Training Centre may be accepted without being required to appear before a Board of Selection.
