Rules for the Karnataka Prohibition of Beggary,1975.State Rules of Karnataka · 1975

(i) A beggar may obtain on order of discharge from the Magistrate or permission to go out for short periods from the Officer-in-charge on being 20 able to show to their satisfaction that he will lead a normal life and not resort to begging if discharged or permitted.

(ii) A beggar may be discharged at any time if any interested relative or friend undertakes to take care of him and not to allow him to beg and executes a surety bond to that effect to the satisfaction of the Court.

(iii) All cases, of discharge or permission shall be listed from time to time and submitted to the Central Relief Committee for information.

(vi) On the day of discharge or permission the state of health and weight of the inmate concerned shall be recorded by the Medical Officer in the History Ticket. The belongings of the inmate shall be handedover to him under his signature or thumb impression.
