1. Short title and commencement.-{ I) These rules may be called the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development (Furnishing oflnformation) Rules, 2009.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the OffiCial Gazette.
2. Definitions:-{!) In these rules, unless the context otherwise requires,-
(a) "Acf' means the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Act. 2006 (27 of2006);
(b) "Information" means any information as specified in rule 3 and includes any docunaent in hard copy or soft copy;
(c) "Officer" means the officer appointed under sub-section (I) of Section 26 of the Act.
(2) Words and expressions used in these rules and not defined but defined in the Act shall have the same meanings as assigned to them in the Act. ·
3. Information.-The Officer may, for the purposes of the Act, by order require any person to furnish the following infOrmation, namely.- ( a) investment in plant and machinery in the case of enterprises engaged in the manufucture of goods as specified· in clause (a) of sub:section (I) of Section 7 ofthe Act; or
(b) investment in equipment in the case of enterprises engaged in rendering services as specified in clause (b) of sub-section (I) of Section 7 of the Act.
4. Furnishing ofinformation to the Officer.-{!) The information shall be furnished to the Officer in the Form annexed to these rules and sent by registered post or in person, as the case may be.
(2) On receipt of information, it shaH be duly registered and given a serial unmber.
(3) The details of presentation and receipt of information shall be duly entered in the regjster maintained by the Officer. [F.
