(m) "Beekeeping Company" means any company incorporated under the Companies Act. 1956, involved in and practicingbeekeeping and having at least ten honey bee colonies, each of ten frames, of Apis mellifera I A. carana I A. trlgona (Stingless),in manrnade I wooden beehives; · (n) "Beekeeping Firm" means any enterpriserun under proprietorshipor partnershipbas1s, lnvo1ved in and practi?ingbeekeeping and having· at leas\ ten 1'1oneybee colonies, each of ten frames, of Apls melllfera I A. ccrana I A. trlgona (Stlng\e·ss),in me;mmaoe /wooden beehives;.
2. In the Export of Honey (QualityControl, Inspectionand Monitoring) Rules, 2002, (hereinafterreferred to as tho principalrules), in rule 2, after clause (k), the following shall be lns?,,namely:- "(I) "Bee Keeper' means any Individual or group of individuals, involved in and practicingbeekeeping and having at least ten honey bee colonies, each of ten frames, of Apls melllfera I A. cerana I A. trigona (Stingless),in manmade I wooden beehiv.l)s; · · · ·((1) These rules may be called the Export of Honey (QualityControl, Inspection and Monitoring)Amendment Rules, 2012. ·

(p) "Registerir\9 Authority" means .any authority recognised I authori?EJCII designated by the Competent Authority to register Bee Keeper I Beekeeping Company I Beekeeping Firm /.Beekeeping Cooperative Society.'.

" 3. · Ba?isof compilance.-Thequality coniri and.Inspection. qf.honey shall be · carried out as follows>· (a} The honey Intended for export shall be procured from registered Bee .. Keeper and or Beekeeping Company and or Beekeeping Firm and or Beel<eeplng Cooperative Socjety and handled at all stages of production, storage and transport based on good manufacturing practices (GM)')and gd0d hygienicpractices(GHP). . )',
(b) It is primary responsibilityof the Bee Keeper, Beekeeping Company, . ''Beekeeping Firm,.JJ.eekeeplngCooperative Society lo ensure that honey intended for export Is collected .. and handled at all stages of collection, storaqe and transportation following good hygienic practices and qood beekeeping practices so as to meet the health requirements laid down · under these rules.
(c) mspecllon of Honey Intended for export shall be carried out with a view to ensuring that the same conforms to the specifications recognised by the Central Government under section 6 of the Act either- · by ensuring that during the process of production, measures , stipulatedunder sub rule 4. 1 of rule 4 are complied with; "' or . (ii) on the basis of inspection and testing carried out in accordance with · 1· 'sub rule 4;2 of rule 4.". ·

(d) after sub-rule(8), the fo!loWingshall be Inserted, namely:- I ' , "(9) For carrying out Inspection and monitoring ,of Beekeeper, Beekeeping . I , . Company, Beekeeping Firm, Beekeeplnq Cooperative Society, and Establishment, the Competent Authority shall have free access, at all times, to all parts of the Beekeeper, Beekeeping Cornpany, Beekeeping Firm, Beekeeping Cooperative Society, Establishment and records portalnlnq to application of this notification in order to ensure compliance with the requirements of this notification.";
(e) In sub-rule 4.2, for the heading "The procedure of inspection under clause
