2.952 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA: SEPTEMBER 25, I993/ASVTNA 3, 1915 [PART IT—SEC. 3(ii)] Avndi. the 6lh September, 1993 S.O. 1988 —In exercise of the powers conferred by subsection (2) of Section 4 of the Departmental Inquiries (Enforcement of Aattendance of Witnesses and Production of Documents) Act 1972, (18 of 1972), I, the General Manager, HVF hereby specify Shri K. R. Mahaboob John. Dy. General Manager, HVF, Avadi as an authority to exercise the power conferred on the undersigned by sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the said Act in respect of Shri K. Unnikumaran, T. No.

74296/1021, Highly Skilled HVF, Avadi against whom a Departmental Inquiry may be held.

New Delhi, the 3rd Seplember, 1993 S.O. 1989.—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 17 of the Export (Quality Control and Inspection) Act, 19(i3 (22 of 1963), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules to amend the Export of Raw Meat (Chilled/ Frozen) (Quality Control and Inspection) Rules, 1592, namely; —

1. (1) These rules may be called the Export of Raw Meat (ChiMcd/Fiozen) (Quality Control and Inspection) (amendment) Rules, 1993.

(2) They shall come come into force on the date of their .publication in the official Gazette.

2. U\ ihe Export of Raw Meat (Chilled/Frozen) (Quailty Control and Inspection) Rules, 1992, fa) for rule 3.5,26, the following rule shall be substituted, namely:— "3,5.26 sufficient number of lavatories and wash basins shall be provided for each se\ of workers and emplnyeirs. These shall be situated away from the processing balls and arrangements shall be made for their daily disinfestation. The main door to (he lavatories shall be fly proof arcl netted wilh self-closing doors. Adequate changing room facilities shall also be provided.";

(T>) for rule 7, the following rule shall be substituted, namely:— "7. Inspection fee—Inspection fee shall be paid by the exporter/processor to the Agency as under:

(0 FOT export of hone-in thcen and goat meat (fresh, chilled or frozen) in carcass form, n fee at the rale of Rupee 1.00 per carcass subject to a minimum of Rupees 50 per consignment.

(ii) For export of bone-in bulalo meat (fresh, chilled or frozen) a fee at the rate of Kupees 2.0U per quarter subject to a miivrnum of Rur.ets 50 per consignment.

(iii) For export of boneless fresh, chilled or frozen hullnlo or sheep or goat meat in cartons, a fee nt the rate of Rupees l.J.'i per caitor. subject M ,\ minimum of Rupees 100 per consignment.

Note : The amount of inspection fee for each consignment payable by lliu exportcr|proccssor shall be lounded off to the nearest rupee and, for this purpose where such amount contains n part of rupee, then if such a part is fifty paise- or mure it shall be increased to one rupee and \i such pun is less than fifty paisc, it shall be ignored".

MINISTRY OF COMMERCE New Delhi, the 10th September, 1993 S.O. 1990.—Whereas the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 7 of the Hxport (Quality Control and Inspection) Act, 1963 (22 of 196.1), had recognised M/s. Inspection Survey and Survelliancc (India) Private Limited, 26/27, Krrabalu Chetly Street, Madras-600001, as an agency for inspection of Minerals and Ores (Group-I and Hi, as specified in Schedule I and Schedule II annexed thereto, prior (o export at Madras vide notification of the Government of India, in the Ministry of Commerce, No S.O. J4l)F{ dnted the 13(h May, 1991;

And whereas it lias been confirmed by M/s. Inspection Survey and Surveillance (India) Private Limited, Calcutta that their Madras branch has ceased to exist with eflect from August, 1992;

Now, therefore, in exercise of Ihe povvers conferred by sub-section (I) of section 7 of Hie Hxport (Quality Control and luspetion) Ac!. 1963 (22 of I%.1|, the Central Government hereby withdraws the rtcogniiion minted to M/s.

Inspection Survey and Survelliance (Tndia) Pvt. Limited, 26 27, Fnahalu Chetty Street, Madras-600001 and rescinds the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Commerce No. S.O, 1498 dated the 13th May, 1991.
