8. रा4 य 5 तरीय िवशेषD मू� याकंन सिमित, पु8डुचेरी सामूिहक उ तरदािय व के िसSांत पर काय� करेगी और अA य� � येक मामले म सव�स मित से पर प(चंने का �यास करेगा, और य�द सव�स मित पर नहT प(चंा जाता ह ैतो ब(मत का अिभमत अिभभावी होगा । 9. पु8डुचेरी सरकार, �ािधकरण, पु8डुचेरी तथा रा4 य 5 तरीय िवशेषD मू� यांकन सिमित, पु8डुचेरी के िलए सिचवालय के Uप म काय� करने हतुे एक अिभकरण अिधसूिचत करेगी और सभी िव तीय तथा संभारतं,ीय सहायता, िजसके अंतग�त आवास प:रवहन भी ह ैऔर अपने सभी कानूनी कृ य$ क� बावत ऐसी अO य सुिवधाएं उपलW ध कराएंगी । 10. पु8डुचेरी, �ािधकरण के अA य� और सद5 य$ तथा रा4 य 5 तरीय िवशेषD मू� यांकन सिमित, पु8डुचेरी को बैठक क� फ�स, या,ा भ त,े महगंाई भ ते, पु8डुचेरी सरकार के संबंिधत िनयम$ के अनुसार संद त �कए जाएंगे । [सं. जे-11013/51/2007-1ए. II(1)] मनोज कुमार Xसह, संयु# त सिचव MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENT, FORESTS AND CLIMATE CHANGE NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 15th December, 2015 S.O. 3385(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 3 of the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 (29 of 1986) and in pursuance of the notification of the Government of India in the erstwhile Ministry of Environment and Forests number S.O. 1533(E), dated the 14 th September, 2006 (hereinafter referred to as the said notification), the Central Government hereby constitutes the State Level Environment Impact Assessment Authority, Puducherry (hereinafter referred to as the Authority, Puducherry) comprising of the following members, namely:—
(a) Dr. G. Srinivasan Professor, Department of Chemical Engineering, Pondicherry Engineering College , Puducherry – 605 014 —Chairman;
(b) Dr. T. Ganesan Associate Professor, Department of Botany, Tagore Arts College, Puducherry —Member;
(c) Director, Department of Science, Technology and Environment, Government of Puducherry —Member Secretary.
2. The Chairman and members of the Authority, Puducherry shall hold office for a term of three years from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette.
3. The Authority, Puducherry shall exercise such powers and follow the procedures as specified in the said notification.
4. The Authority, Puducherry shall base its decision on the recommendations of the State Level Expert Appraisal Committee constituted under paragraph 5 for the State of Puducherry.
5. For the purposes of assisting the Authority, Puducherry, the Central Government, in consultation with the Government of Puducherry, hereby constitutes the State Level Expert Appraisal Committee, Puducherry comprising of the following members, namely :—
(i) Dr. B. Kumaran Principal, Indira Gandhi College of Arts and Science, Puducherry.
—Chairman;
(ii) Dr. S. Govindaradjane Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, Pondicherry Engineering College, Puducherry.

6. The Chairman and Members of State Level Expert Appraisal Committee, Puducherry shall hold office for a term of three years from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette.
7. The State Level Expert Appraisal Committee, Puducherry shall exercise such powers and follow the procedures as specified in the said notification.
8. The State Level Expert Appraisal Committee, Puducherry shall function on the principle of collective responsibility and the Chairman shall endeavor to reach a consensus in each case, and if consensus cannot be reached, the view of the majority shall prevail.
9. The Government of Puducherry shall notify an agency to act as Secretariat for the Authority for Puducherry and the State Level Expert Appraisal Committee, Puducherry, and shall provide all financial and logistic support including accommodation, transportation and such other facilities in respect of all its statutory functions.
10. The sitting fee, travelling allowance and dearness allowance to the Chairman and Members of the Authority for Puducherry and the Chairman and Members of the State Level Expert Appraisal Committee, Puducherry shall be paid in accordance with the concerned rules of the Government of Puducherry.
