8.0 3573(E).—In pursuance of the proviso to sub- paragraph (c) of paragraph 5 of the notification of the Government of India in the erstwhile Ministry of Environment and Forests, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub section (ii), vide, number S.0 1533(E), dated the 14th September, 2006 read with notification number S.0. 2733 (E), dated the 30" July, 2019, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub section (ii), the Central Government being considered necessary and expedient, hereby extends the term of the,-

(i) Chairman and Members of the State Level Environment Impact Assessment Authority, Telangana; and

(ii) Chairman and Members of the State Level Expert Appraisal Committee, Telangana, for a further period of twelve months with effect from the 30" July, 2022 or till the re-constitution of the new State Level Environment Impact Assessment Authority, Telangana and the new State Level Expert Appraisal Committee, Telangana, as the case may be whichever is earlier.

TR, AT % orewer SR wEEd! qur uw S Ay, Ao F sremy ST wawt 6t dw A oh, ATAT FT A HGATE T AT o7 TR 3 (et 3 srqere waw i s | [T, &. §-11013/12/2015-3%.T.-1 (TH)] el Atfeare, @3 afoa MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENT, FOREST AND CLIMATE CHANGE NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 30th July, 2019 S.0. 2733(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 3 of the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 (29 of 1986) and in pursuance of the notification of the Government of India in the erstwhile Ministry of Environment and Forests, number S.0. 1533(E), dated the 14" September, 2006 (hereinafter referred to as the said notification), the Central Government hereby constitutes the State Level Environment Impact Assessment Authority, Telangana (hereinafter referred to as the Authority, Telangana) comprising of the following Members, namely: — ‘THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART II—SEC. 3(ii)] Professor M. Ananda Rao, #8-48/1, Street No. 8, Habsiguda - 500007, Hyderabad.

Dr. B Narsaiah, H. No. 6-3-98, 4" Cross, Hastiinapuri, Sainikpuri, Secunderabad — 500094, Telangana Special Secretary to the Government, Environment, Forests, Science and Technology Department, Government of Telangana.

2. The Chairman and Members of the Authority, Telangana shall hold office for a term of three years from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette.

3. The Authority, Telangana shall exercise such powers and follow such procedures as specified in the said notification.

4. The Authorily, Telangana shall take its decision on the recommendations of the State Level Expert Appraisal Committee (SEAC) constituted under paragraph 5 for the State of Telangana.

5. For the purpose of assisting the Authority, Telangana, the Central Government in consultation with the State Government of Telangana, hereby constitutes the State Level Expert Appraisal Committee (SEAC) (hereinafter referred to as SEAC, Telangana) comprising of the following Members, namely:-

6. The Chairman and Members of SEAC, Telangana shall hold office for a term of three years from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette.

7. The SEAC, Telangana shall exercise such powers and follow such procedures as specified in the said notification.

8. The SEAC, Telangana shall function on the principle of collective responsibility and the Chairman shall endeavor to reach a consensus in each case, and if consensus cannot be reached, the view of the majority shall prevail.

9. The Government of Telangana shall notify an agency to act as the Secretariat for the Authority, Telangana and SEAC, Telangana and the Secretariat shall provide all financial and logistic support including accommodation, transportation and such other facilities in respect of discharging their statutory functions.

10. The sitting fee, travelling allowances and dearness.allowances to the Chairman and Members of the Authority, Telangana and SEAC, Telangana shall be paid as per the rules of the State Government of Telangana.
