Now, therefore, in exercise of powers conferred by sub-section (1) and clause (v) of sub-section (2) of section 3 of the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 (29 of 1986), read with clause (d) of sub-rule (3) of rule 5 of the Environment (Protection) Rules, 1986, the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendments in the said notification which shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette, namely:- In the said notification, in the Schedule, for item 7(h) and the entries relating thereto, the following item and entries shall be substituted, namely: - Project or Activity Category with threshold limit Conditions if any A B
(1) (2) (3) (4) (5) “7(h) Common Effluent Treatment Plants (CETPs) - All projects General Condition shall apply Note: Environmental clearance for CETPs setup for or within projects or activities which do not require environmental clearance are exempted, and if any of the existing or proposed member units of the said CETP produces or proposes to produce any product requiring environmental clearance, then the CETP shall need environmental clearance.” [F.No. 22-28/2018-IA.III] GEETA MENON, Jt.
