R, PRADHAN, to the Government ot SlKIom and Legislative DePartment' SIKKIM GOVERNMENT GAZETTE Gangtok Tuesday 12'n May, 2O2O No. 97 LAW DEPARTMENT GOVERNMENT OF SIKKIM GANGTOK No.01/LD/20 Dated :30.04.2020 NOTIFICATION The following Act passed by the Sikkim Legislative Assembly and having received assent of the Governor on 25* day of March, 2020 is hereby published for general information:- THE SIKKIM LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY MEMBERS (REMOVAL OF DISQUALIFICATIONS) AMENDMENT ACT, 2020 (ACT NO. 01 Ot2O2Ol AN ACT further to amend the Sikkim Legislative Assembly Members (Removal of Disqualifications) Act, 1978.
BE it enacted by the Legislature of Sikkim in the Seventy-first Year of the Republic of lndia as follows :- Short title and commencement Amendment of Section 3A Repeal and Savings
1. (1) This Act may be called the Sikkim Legislative Assembly Members (Removal of Disqualifications) Amendment Act, 2020.
(2) lt shall come into force with immediate effect.
D ln the Sikkim legislative Assembly Members (Removal of Disqualifications) Act, 1978, in section 3A, after clause (cc), the following clause shall be inserted, namely:- "(dd) Advisorto the State Government Department ".

3. (1) Disqualifications) Amendment Ordinance No. 1 of 2O2O is hereby repealed.
(2) Notwithstanding such re-peal,.anything done or any..action taken.in exercise of powers conferred by or under that Ordinance shall be deemed to have been done or taken in exercise of the powers conferred by or under this Act as if this Act was in force on the day on which such thing was done orsuch action taken.
