(1) The Vice President shall be appointed by the President for a period of four (4) years, with the approval of the Board of Governors in such manner as may be prescribed by the Rules, and shall have responsibilities as may be specified by the Statutes.
(2) The eligibility and criteria for the post of Vice President shall be as may be prescribed by the Rules and Regulations under the Statutes.
(3) The Vice President on appointment shall be a member of the Board of Governors.
(4) The Vice President shall assist the President to oversee the development, implementation and assessment of the academic programs and policies.
(5) The Vice President will also collaborate with the President in setting overall academic priorities for the University and approve and allocate funds to carry these priorities foruvard.
(6) ln absence of the President for reasons as prescribed under the Rules under this Act, the Vice President will conduct the duties of the office of the President of the University.
