Section 6: Presiding over the meeting

The meeting shall be presided over by the Chairman or, in the absence of the Chairman, by the Vice-Chairman of the District Panchayat concerned or in the absence of both the Chairman and the Vice-Chairman of the District Panchayat concerned, by a member not intending to contest as a Candidate at the election and chosen by the members present at the meeting to preside over the meeting. Such a person shall be styled as the President.
