An Act to amend the Tamil Nadu Backward Class Christians and Backward Class Muslims (Resewation of Seats in Educational lnstitutions including Private Educatianal lnstitutions and of appointments or posfs in the services under the State) Act, 2007.
Be rt enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the State of Tamil Nadu in the Fifty-ninth Year of the Republic of lndia as follows;-
1. (1) This Act may be called the Tamil Nadu Backward Class Christians and Short title and Backward Class Muslims (Reservation of Seats in Educational lnstitutions including Private commence- Educational lnstitutions and of appointments or posts in the services under the State) ment.

(2) lt shall be deemed to have come into force on the 22nd day of October 2008.

3. ln section 1 of the principal Act, in sub-section (1), the expression "Backward Amendment of Class Christians and" shall be omitted. section 1.
4. ln section 2 of the principal Act, clause (a) shall be omitted. Amendment of sectlon 2.
5. ln section 3 of the principal Act,- Amendmenr of section 3.
(1) in the marginal heading, the expression "Backward Class Christians and" shall be omitted;
(2) the expression "Backward Class Christians and" in two places where it occurs.

(2) i{otwithstanding such repeal, anything done or any action taken under the principal Act, as amended by the said Ordinance, shall be deemed to have been done or taken under the principal Act. as amended by this Act.
