Section 19: Construction and maintenance of drains

The Tamil Nadu Beedi and Cigar Workers (Conditions of Employment) Rules, 1968State Rules of Tamil Nadu · 1966

all drains carrying waste or sullage water shall be constructed in masonry or other impermeable materials and shall be regularly flushed and effluent disposed of by connecting such drains with suitable drainage lines:

Provided that, Where there is no such drainage line, the effluent shall be deodorized and rendered innocuous and then disposed of in suitable manner to the satisfaction of the public health authority.
