Section 3: Manner of selection and appointment of the Chairperson

(1)The Chairperson shall be appointed by the Government in terms of clause (a) of sub-section (4) of Section 22 of the Act either on deputation of a person not below the rank of Principal Secretary to the Government or by selection from outside the Government.

(2) The appointment under sub-rule (1) shall be done on the recommendation of a three member Search Committee constituted for the purpose headed by the Chief Secretary.
