Section 23: Samples

The Tamil Nadu Brewery Rules, 1983State Rules of Tamil Nadu · 1937

(1) The licensee shall, when required by the Excise Supervisory Officer or by an officer authorised by the Commissioner in this behalf, permit to take without payment of Duty or fee and free or cost samples of the materials used or worts in any stage of fermentation of beer manufactured in the brewery, for chemical test or analysis.

(2) Beer may be issued as trade sample in quantity of not more than ten litres without permit from the Commissioner but subject to payment of the Duty and fee.
