Section 203: Scaffold supported by building

Tamil Nadu Building And Other Construction Workers (Regulation Of Employment And Conditions Of Service) Rules,2006State Rules of Tamil Nadu · 1996

The employer shall ensure at a construction site of a building or other construction work that,-

(a) no part of a building is used as support or part of a scaffold unless such part of the building is made of sufficient strength and made of sound material to accord safe support;

(b) overhanging caves, gutters are not used for supporting scaffold; and

(c) suspended scaffold is made of in accordance with the relevant national standards before being used by the building workers.
