Section 2: Definitions

Chennai Metropolitan Area Ground (Regulation) Rules, 1988State Rules of Tamil Nadu · 1987

In these rules, unless the context otherwise requires.—

(a) ❝ Act ❞ means the 1 [Chennai] Metropolitan Area Groundwater (Regulation) Act, 1987 (Tamil Nadu Act 27 of 198);

(b) ❝Form ❞ means a Form appended to these rules;

(c) ❝Licence ❞ means a licence for extraction, use or transport of groundwater granted under section 5 of the Act;
