In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires, — (a) Authority means the Chennai Unified Metropolitan Transport Authority established under section 3; (b) Government means the State Government; (c) prescribed means prescribed by rules; (d) words and expressions used but not defined in this Act shall have the meanings assigned to them in the Tamil Nadu Town and Country Planning Act, 1971.
