The applicant shall enclose the following documents along with the application form:-
(i) A copy of Memorandum and Bye-laws and the certificate of Registration of the Company / Society or the registered Deed of the Trust, as the case may be.
(ii) Details of names of the Secretary of the Company / Trustees / Society members, occupation, age and residential address, Phone No., Fax, E-mail.
(iii) Document of the land, wherein the law college is to be started.
(iv) Topographical Sketch of the land with Survey Nos. along with surrounding area with Survey Nos. signed by the village Administrative Officer to show that the lands are continuous and in one block.
(v) The land use certificate. If it is a cultivable land, permission to use the land for running a college and construction of buildings, from the competent Revenue authority should be produced.
(vi) Land Continuity Certificate stating the college name with Survey nos., and Extent in Area. (To be signed by the Village Administrative Officer)
(vii) Building plan (Blue Print) approved by the Competent Authority should be produced with “master plan”, for the entire institutional complex with the details of the plinth area including area of Class rooms, Moot Court Hall, Administrative block, Library, Hostel etc.,
(viii) License granted by the competent authority under the Tamil Nadu Public Buildings (Licensing) Act, 1965 (Tamil Nadu Act 13 of 1965)
(ix) A Challan for having remitted a fee of Rupees Twenty Five Thousand (non-refundable) into the Government Treasury under the following head of account:- 0202 – Education, Sports, Art and Culture 01 – General Education – 600 – General.
AH – Receipts from Private Law Colleges (D.P. Code 0202 01 600 AH 00 01)
(x) The Endowment for Rupees Thirty lakh created by the Company / Trust / Society, invested in a Nationalized Bank/ Government of Tamil Nadu Undertaking.

(xi) Audited Balance sheets of the Company / Trust / Society for the preceeding three years.
(xii) Certificate of Bank Guarantee for a period of five years to the tune of Rupees Twenty lakh or a Solvency certificate to the said amount obtained from the competent revenue authority.
(xiii) Projected Income and Expenditure Accounts for the first three years.
6 (1) Inspection of Competent authority:- If the competent authority satisfied with the particulars furnished along with the application for grant of permission to start a Law College, the Competent Authority shall undertake an inspection of the location of proposed Law College along with the Principals of two Government Law Colleges and shall submit a report along with his recommendations to the Government.
(2) The Government shall grant or refuse to grant the permission for establishment of a law college taking into consideration the inspection report of the competent authority, particulars contained in the application and also the rules, guidelines, instructions issued by the University Grants Commission, the Bar Council of India and the Tamil Nadu Dr.Ambedkar Law University.
