Section 17: Withdrawal of Candidature

Tamil Nadu Farmers' Management of Irrigation Systems Election Rules, 2003State Rules of Tamil Nadu · 2001

(1) Any candidate may withdraw his candidature by notice in writing in Form-9 signed by him and delivered either by such candidate in person or by his proposer at any time after the presentation of his nomination paper.

(2) On receiving a notice of withdrawal under sub-rule (1) as soon as may be, a list of notice of the withdrawal shall be caused to be published in Form-10.

(3) A candidate who has withdrawn his candidature under sub-rule (2) shall not be allowed to cancel the withdrawal.
