(1) There shall be a minimum of one Polling station for each Water Users Association. As far as possible, all the booths in a Polling station of a Water Users Association shall be located in a single premises, convenient to electors of all the Territorial Constituencies so that counting of votes can be taken up immediately after the close of poll.
(2) In cases where the above arrangement is not feasible, adequate arrangement for the safe transport of all ballot boxes, and other polling materials and for their safe custody shall be made until commencement of the counting of votes at a common place fixed.
(3) There shall be a minimum of one polling booth for every Territorial Constituency. The booths shall be increased according to the number of electors in order to accommodate them for completing the poll within the specified time.
(4) There shall be as many ballot boxes as may be necessary for the Polling stations to cover all the Territorial Constituencies in a Water Users Association and the total number of ballot boxes shall be decided depending on the number of electors.
(5) Outside each Polling station, there shall be displayed prominently -
(a) a notice specifying the polling area, the serial number of electors in relevant electoral roll who are entitled to vote at the Polling station; and
(b) copy of the list of contesting candidates with the serial numbers, names and the symbols assigned to them.
(6) Each Polling booth shall contain one or more separate compartments in which electors are to record their votes, in secrecy.
(7) Separate ballot boxes for the election of member of Territorial Constituency and for the election of President of Water Users Association shall be kept in each polling booth and separate ballot papers shall be issued whenever necessary.
(8) The names of the contesting candidates along with their symbols shall be displayed both at the entrance of the polling booths and inside the polling booth above the ballot box to enable the elector to exercise his franchise without difficulty.
(9) Counting shall be arranged on the same day in the afternoon following the poll.
(10) The Collector shall arrange to provide at each Polling station sufficient number of ballot boxes, together with copies of the electoral roll or such part thereof, so as to contain the names of the electors entitled to vote at the station, and such other papers and articles necessary for electors to mark the ballot papers, stationery and forms as may be necessary.
