Section 1: Short title

Tamil Nadu Fishermen and Labourers Engaged in Fishing and other Allied Activities (Social Security and Welfare) Act, 2007 RulesState Rules of Tamil Nadu · 2007

These Rules may be called the Tamil Nadu Fishermen and Labourers engaged in Fishing and other Allied Activities. (Social Security and Welfare) Rules, 2007.

2. Definitions: – In these Rules, unless the context otherwise requires,-

(a) „Act „ means the “Tamil Nadu Fishermen and Labourers engaged in Fishing and other Allied Activities. (Social Security and Welfare) Act, 2007 (Tamil Nadu Act, 19 of 2007);

(b) “casual vacancy “ means a vacancy occurring otherwise than efflux of time in the office of the member;

(c) “Chairman” means the Chairman of the Board, appointed under sub-section (4) of section 5 of the Act;

(d) “Committee” means a district level, taluk level or village level committee, as the case may be, constituted under sub-section

(1) of section 8 of the Act;

(e) “Form” means a Form appended to these Rules;

(f) “member” means a member of the Board nominated under sub-section (3) of section 5 of the Act.
