All applications for the zviction of a cultivritii'lg tenant under the Tenants l'rotectioa Act or uuder. Chapter 111. of the .

Public Trusts Act, as the case may be, and all suits and proceedings stayed under this Act, shall, after the expiration of this Act, be proceededwith subject to the provisio~~s of any law which may then :be in -forie, from the stage which had been reached when, the application, suit 'br proceeding was stayed.

7. Right to restoration of possession of evicted cultivating tenmtsi-

(1) Notwithstanding anything contained in any judgment or decree%r'ar. - order of any court or other authority and subject to the proviSionS;bf this Act every cultivating tenant who had beon evicted from any 1andf;dn or after the 1st day of July 1984, but- ' r. . . . .*

(i) before the date of the publication of this Act in the $&il Nadu Gover~~~neizt Gazezte, in the case of such cultivating tenant ' in any flood affected area specified in the Sohedule to this Act on the date of such publication; and
