No. II(2)/CTR/253/2014.—In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (b) of sub-section (1) of Section 9 of the Indian Stamp Act, 1899 (Central Act II of 1899), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby provides for the consolidation of duty of Rs.9,42,276/- (Rupees Nine lakh forty two thousand two hundred and seventy six only) chargeable under the said Act in respect of issue of policies by United India Insurance Company Limited through its branches in the region of Madurai for the period from 1st January 2014 to 31st March 2014.

Formation of Cauvery North Wild Life Sanctuary in Hosur and Dharmapuri Forest Divisions under the Wild Life Protection Act.

No.II(2)/EF/254/2014.-In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (b) of sub-section (1) of Section 26-A of the Wild Life (Protection) Act, 1972 (Central Act 53 of 1972), the Governor of Tamil Nadu having considered that the area declared as reserved forests under the Tamil Nadu Forest Act, 1882 (Tamil Nadu Act V of 1882), the boundaries of which are specified in the Schedule below, is of Adequate ecological, faunal, floral, Geo-morphological Natural and zoological significance hereby declares that the areas specified in the schedule below, shall be a sanctuary for the purpose of protecting, propagating and developing Wild Life and its environment with effect on and from 24-2-2014 and shall be called as a Cauvery North Wild Life Sanctuary.

(1) (2) (3) (4) (5) BOUNDARIES North.- Starting from the eastern boundary of Thalli extension reserved forest at a cairn on Karnataka border at karadikuttai rock, the boundary line runs at a bearing of 210 degrees for 498 links to carin No.2; thence, with a bearing of 198 degrees for 1060 links to cairn No.3 at Upper Bundai; thence, with a bearing of 209 degrees for 370 links to carin No. 4; thence, with a bearing of 197 degrees for 1207 links to carin No.5 at Virasandiram Guttai; thence, with a bearing of 196 degrees for 1668 links to carin No.6;

thence, with a bearning of 195 degrees for 640 links to carin No.7 at Karienpalayam Guttai; thence, with a bearing of 214 degrees 1395 links to carin No.8 at Thesatihalliaggu;

thence, with a bearing of 195.5 degrees for 1588 links to carin No.9 on Neria Alamara; thence, with a bearing of 190.5 degrees for 1684 links to cairn No.10 Karikal Ani.

The boundary then continues along the eastern boundary of Thalli reserved forest from Kuntana Gudde southwards up to Karadikal Gudde, then to Hurulibidu gudde, then to Kemgala gudden then excluding the cultivation of Ganganahalli to Muneswaranabetta and Devarabetta;

crossing the cultivation on the east of the deserted Village of Hosatti; then from Devarabetta southwards to Adivikerai;

then to basuvanahallikerai Bande; then westwards along the path from Thalli to Marasundaram and Gunur Bagarikan Kunte; and then southwards to Uppuhako Bande and Mariappana Hunisemarada Kallu and down to Devarajanakerai along the path from Achubalu to Belalam.

From the above Kerai the line runs along the path from Achubalu to Belalam up to Belalam cultivation; then skirting the cultivation to Pagadinatha-Thaganathakallu, then on to Baimum Alamara, and then to Rayapana Holatha Alamara;

then to the path from Belalam to Terubide Village in Karnataka;

then along the above path to Karnataka boundary.

After a break along the Karnataka border beginning at the point where the boundary of the Southern tip of Thalli reserved forest meets the Karnataka border, up to the point where the Northern tip of Jawalagiri reserved forest meets the Karnataka border, the boundary line continues along the northern boundary of Jawalagiri reserved forest. The line follows along the southern cultivation of Kempathalli Village up to the junction of Kempathalli and Nellumaru Agraharam boundaries at Mannuguddai, thence, a demarcated line north eastwards along the Agraharam boundary for about one mile, and then turning south east along Vetturpalayam cultivation over Dasaruhalla Bayilu and Azzibayilu Salamara to Vettrupalayam Nelu Bavi Guddai, thence, on to the path from Vettrupalayam to Javalagiri, then along the path as far as Melepuruvathavadi Mola Hola Alamara, then across to Gidikavandanagundu on the path from Melepuruvathavadi to Hrasankal.

From the last point, a demarcated line runs southwards along the Javalagiri cultivation to Javalagiri Muthirayan Gudi then turns east wards to Ponnamamiguddai, and then to Belapatana Sheruvu Guddai (at the east of the path from Javalagiri to Sulekunta); thence, on the Yelachangavundanakerai, thence, along the path from the Kerai to Buranahalli and along the cultivation of Buranhalli to Munigudi Bandai then across to Kulavaguddai, then across to Karikal Bandai, and then across to Thinna Karaikal Yeni Bandai to Nachi Halli Gerai Maratha Bandai, then along Nachihalli cultivation to Sittithappana Bandai and then across Basuvana Bandai and Sanyasi Muni Alamarada Bandai to Kothikal Bandai.

Starting from cairn No. 1 situated on the eastern boundary fo Gulhatti reserved forest, 11482 links south of its north-east corner, the line runs along the northern boundary of Aiyur Extension II reserved forest with a bearing eastwards 69½ for 114 links to cairn No. 2 at the south-west corner of survey Number 362 of Bettamugalalam; thence, along the south side of that field for 206 links to cairn No. 3; thence, along the same boundary of the said field No. 375 links to cairn No. 4 at its south-east corner; thence, with a bearing of 101 for 133 links to cairn No. 5; thence, with a bearing of 99½ for 446 links to cairn No. 6; thence, with a bearing of 18 for 406 links to cairn No. 7; thence, with a bearing of 9 for 546 links to cairn No. 8.
